What type of place should Ireland be in 2040? That’s what the government wants us to tell them.
It is asking us the questions like: Where will we live? Where will we work? And how will we get around?
Between now and 2040, the government wants to pull together all their action plans to ensure that it has national and regional strategies in place as Ireland’s population grows.
Green-Schools across Ireland are invited to take part in the Green-Schools ‘Ireland 2040 – Our Plan’ Poster Competition which is being run in partnership with the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government.
This competition is a great way for students to engage in Step 6: ‘Informing and Involving’ the whole school in your Green-Schools Programme. All students have to do is create an A3 poster which shows how they would like Ireland to look in the future.
