Our school has been shortlisted for a wellbeing award as part of the St. Patrick’s University Hospital campaign to promote wellbeing and mental health in schools. We have been implementing the Jigsaw 5 A Day approach to enhance pupil wellbeing for the last two years in school. The areas involved are connecting with others, being active, getting involved, noticing and giving. These awards were brought to our attention and we submitted an application form and had to follow up with evidence to support it. We have pupils (RD, RL and ML), parents (Áine Loughran and Suzanne Delaney) and teachers (Ms. Duignan, who coordinates the six week mindfulness programme in the school, Ms. Collins and Ms. Delaney) attending the event this evening. Well done to everyone! We will update with pictures and information on Twitter.
