We received a new delivery of five hens from Newgrange Farm today. Many thanks to Mrs. Ann Redhouse, grandparent of Patrick and Cormac, who collected the hens from Johnstown Hatcheries in Northern Ireland this week and donated them to the school.
They have settled in well with our three existing hens. Pupils in the classes will get to name the hens in the coming weeks. The hens are at point of lay, which means that they will be laying eggs very soon and we will now get white and blue eggs, as well as brown!
