St. Patrick’s church and school were very busy this week with the two nights of carol services held. The pupils had been practising for the last six weeks leading up to the two evening performances. The idea of the carol services is to bring the pupils back to the meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus. Our school hosted a food appeal collection for St. Vincent de Paul this month and we had a fantastic response from the local community. At the end of last week, collection volunteers packed up the items into hampers for local families this Christmas. The local St. Vincent de Paul group would sincerely like to thank all who donated to the appeal.

Santa made a pit stop to Slane N.S. this week on his last minute rounds of the planet earth before Christmas Eve. He was very well received by the pupils.
