Truly winter has arrived. Time for the woolies! Also, it was time to walk off the sweets, cakes and all the indulgence of the Hallowe'en trick or treating today and people just got stuck into it! Great result.

Woweee... that was some weather this morning! I think this morning could have been our wettest B.O.W.O.W. yet - if not, at least in the top 3! Well done to all the brave souls who got out in force with the brollies, raincoats and wellies.

This week's activity was to sing the winning songs from the song competition last year. Junior Infants to 2nd class stood-up together and sang the song " More Footprints, Less Tyreprints". The senior classes gave us a rendition of the reworked " Hot'N'Cold" which was based on the Katy Perry song. Check out the recordings from last year on the BOWOW '08-'09 page.

Today the winners of the BOWOW posters were revealed. There was a winner from each class. Here is a picture of the winners and their winning entries. The next activity will be to sing the winning songs from last year's BOWOW's Got Talent at the assembly in 2 weeks time.

Our first BOWOW day of the school year got off to a great start as you can see in the results. Continuing on from last year's success, BOWOW day will take place each Wednesday.
In school, assembly will be held every 2nd week where a different activity/class competition will be announced. For example, we are holding a poster competition among the classes whereby the children will design posters about BOWOW and the winners will be chosen in 2 weeks time.
