The classroom was a hive of activity in December. The post office had lots of cards and parcels to be delivered. The elves were busy in Santa’s workshop making toys and writing the naughty and nice lists! The children wore their Christmas jumpers to school, they watched two pantomimes and read lots of Christmas stories.
Return to school in March
We were all delighted to be back in school in March. Indoor and outdoor took on the theme of ‘The Garden Centre’. The children planted sunflower seeds, enjoyed DEAR time and did lots of art work too. We also visited the Hill of Slane and learned all about St. Patrick.

The theme this month was ‘At the Zoo’. The children had so much fun learning about different animals, working as zookeepers and designing their own animal enclosures. We made the most of the fine weather and had our lunch alfresco. They were excited to see how much their sunflowers had grown over the Easter holidays. We learned about primary colours and the children used primary colours to create their own Mondrian artwork.
