St. Patrick's NS, Slane

Confirmation Day '09

Confirmation for 5th & 6th classes took place in Slane Church at 3pm on the 29th April 2009i. While it had been a damp, dull day, the weather luckily held off long enough for the ceremony.

All the children were dressed up in their finery for the occasion. If the children were nervous, they certainly didn't show it as each did their part for the ceremony as practised.

The church was packed with friends, family and well-wishers.

The choir of 2nd-4th classes was conducted by Ms. Mulqueen and sang beautifully. Mr. Flanagan provided the music and even overcame broken strings to keep things on track! The flute, concertina and recorders also enhanced the mass.

Well done & thanks to the teachers, in particular Ms. Mulqueen and Mr. O'Connor, parents and the children themselves for making it a wonderful day.
