Green Day 2010
Minutes after President Mary McAleese left our school to continue her with her appointments, the pupils staff and guests gathered on the front lawn to raise our 4th Green Flag. Many parents arrived to see the president and also to join in with our celebrations.
After break, the children got involved with our usual green activities of litter-picking, visits to the garden and short lessons reminding us all about our ongoing environmental work in school, at home and in the wider community.
As a special treat after the president's visit and winning the 4th Green Flag, the children were treated to a magic show and an early finish. What a day!
