Hallelujah Concert

On Sunday 13th December, many of the senior school children took part in a very large concert called the Hallelujah Concert. This was the first time our school has taken part. Choirs of children from all parts of the country come together to sing in one large communal choir. There are several concerts over the weekend with different choirs each time but our choir were singing in the evening concert on this date.

Between 4000 and 5000 children (plus teachers!) sang together under the direction of _____ and his band. To direct this many individuals was no mean feat!

The children had to learn a great many songs of different styles from Irish songs to the 'Bugsy Malone' medley. This in itself was a challenge, but then to have one rehearsal with the other choirs before the concert was a huge achievement for the children and teachers, Mrs. Sheridan and Ms. Mulqueen.

There were several other performers in the concert including _____________.

Many of the parents were in the audience and the whole concert was most enjoyable.
