Seachtain na Gaeilge 2009

Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge beo agus ag ciceáil in the run-up to St. Patrick's Day in our school. From PE through Irish, learning agus ag canadh songs of our native country, to a céilí mór in the junior yard on Friday, everyone got into the spirit.

Though a few days early, green was the colour of choice for all this day.

The Céilí was most definitly the high point of the week. We were fortunate that the weather held up for the day. Each of the classes learned Irish dances and these were demonstrated outside on Friday. Not only were they demonstrated, but everyone had to try out the dances that were on display. It was a sight to see the Junior Infants performing the
Dreolín! There were claps and cheers as each of the classes put on their show. However, the biggest cheer by far went up when na múinteoirí got involved!

Bhí an-spórt againn an lá sin! Maith sibh gach duine!
