Sport

At St. Patrick's NS, we partake in a number of sports including Gaelic football, Olympic handball, soccer and athletics. Training is provided by the teachers at lunchtime throughout the year.Though the school is entered in several competitive events, we also hold our own 'mini-sevens' competitions whereby all children from 3rd-6th classes are involved and play on the teams. It's a welcome change of pace for all the children regardless of sporting level.

The football team have just completed their participation in the Cumann na mBunscoil competitions. Well done to Mr O'Connor and all the players who took part. While we did not make it to the finals we did improve our performance.

After Halloween the third and fourth class will take part in the Futsál Soccer Competition in Gormanstown College.

Fourth class have just completed their swimming module and after Halloween, Fifth and Third classes will be going swimming in Aura Leisure Link in Navan.
