4th classes were busy making an old recipe to help stop coughs and colds this week as part of their outdoor lessons. Rosehips are full of vitamin C and help to keep us healthy.
During World War II, children used to pick rosehips and it was made into rosehip syrup, as oranges and lemons were not available.
The classes picked rosehips (which are at the front of our school!) and we made the syrup in the staffroom. 66% of the pupils liked the taste!
