Both our boys’ and girl’s teams have been training hard since the start of the year. The boys narrowly missed out on a spot in the semi finals but competed well in the group stages of the tournament. The girls won all of their games and have qualified for the Division 2/3 Final in Páirc Tailteann on Friday the 23rd of November. The time and opposition have yet to be confirmed. The pupils from 5th class have been learning how to cycle safely. They have learned how to signal properly and perform emergency stops, and they were lucky enough to put all this knowledge to the test when they went cycling on the roads and in through some of the local estates. Many thanks to Cycling Ireland, the Department of Sport, Eurolink and Meath Local Sports Partnership for their sponsorship of the scheme, meaning that it only costs €13 per pupil…

Slane N.S. 4-15 Ashbourne ETNS 1-00 Slane N.S. girls had a great start to their Cumann na mBunscoil campaign with a good win over Ashbourne ETNS. The girls performed very well as a unit with accurate passing and shooting paying off.
