6th class were busy this month creating volcanoes from a range of materials as part of work on this topic. Groups also painted and decorated them. Last week the class then went to the outdoor classroom to try to create lava coming from the volcanoes using a range of secret ingredients including red food colouring! Some of our pupils had a treat with Ms. Coyle by getting the chance to bake Easter chocolate nests with chocolate eggs inside. This was as a result of all their hard work this term improving their English. Mr. O’Donnell was lucky to be chosen to taste them to make sure they were safe to eat!

6th class pupils made their confirmation in St. Patrick’s Church, Slane this week. The ceremony was celebrated by Bishop Tom Deenihan. Many thanks to all the pupils, their sponsors, families, the choir, altar servers, teachers and to Fr. Matthews, who all made the special ceremony that it was. qrf
