The senior boys’ and girls’ gaelic football teams have finished their competitions for 2024. Both teams performed well in their divisions, will all players getting game time in the competitions. The focus now turns to the pupils in 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes, who are taking part in lunchtime skills sessions, thanks to coaching mentors in 6th class. They will continue for the next number of weeks before beginning again in spring.

September assembly took place this month. It was hosted by a pupil from every class. This month we had a special visitor, Audrey Norris, who talked to the children about road safety. This is an area that is very important for our pupils, who have to come to and go from school along the N2 road. We thanked Audrey for her visit with a small gift. It was a great week for outdoor play this week in St. Patrick’s National School. The pitch is in use for yard and pupils were also enjoying the outdoor play area. Our shed has been installed and we will be stocking it with loose parts for play in the coming months to increase the fun for pupils.
