Mr. Fagan's 2nd and 3rd class is a combined class. There is also another separate 2nd class (Mr. Dineen) and another separate 3rd class (Mrs. Carey). This is due to the number of children at each class level. The additional combined class was introduced to create a lower student teacher ratio for this school year.

The subjects that 2nd and 3rd class engage in are:

• Primary Language Curriculum (English agus Gaeilge)
• Mathematics
• Social, Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE) (history, geography and science)
• The Arts (visual arts, drama and music)
• Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE)
• Physical Education (PE)
• Patron's Programme

While there are other 2nd and 3rd class students in other classes, all teachers plan collaboratively and the class groups do come together for activities, including Christmas plays, sports coaching, outdoor play, sacramental preparation, school tours and other events throughout the year. This is important so they keep up their friendships with students in the other classes and also as the full class group may come back together in the future or be reconfigured with other students in it.
