Our autism class is located at the front of the school.

The subjects that the autism class children engage in are:

• Primary Language Curriculum (English agus Gaeilge)
• Mathematics
• Social, Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE) (history, geography and science)
• The Arts (visual arts, drama and music)
• Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE)
• Physical Education (PE)
• Patron's Programme

Having an autism class is a new and exciting development for St. Patrick's National School. The children in the autism class are different ages and at different class levels. An important part of our autism class is that the children also spend part of their day with the rest of the children at their class level (junior infants, senior infants etc.). Similarly, children from other classes visit the autism class to work and play with the children.
