Ms. Delaney's 3rd class has some but not all of the students at 23rd class level in it. There is also another 3rd and 4th combined class (Mr. Flanagan). This is due to the number of children at 3rd class level. The additional combined class was introduced to create a lower student teacher ratio for this school year. Both classrooms are located beside each other.

The subjects that 3rd class engage in are:

• Primary Language Curriculum (English agus Gaeilge)
• Mathematics
• Social, Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE) (history, geography and science)
• The Arts (visual arts, drama and music)
• Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE)
• Physical Education (PE)
• Patron's Programme

While there are 3rd class students in the other class, all three teachers plan collaboratively and the two class groups do come together for activities, including Christmas plays, sports coaching, sacramental preparation, school tours and other events throughout the year. This is important so they keep up their friendships with students in the other class and also as the full class group may come back together in the future or be reconfigured with other students in it.
