Ms. Murphy's junior infant class is located in a block of four classrooms to the back of our school. One of the reasons for this is that junior infants engage in outdoor play a number of days a week and the room is close to the school's outdoor space. Students have outdoor clothing and wellies for this purpose.

The students at junior infant level engage in a lot of active and hands on learning throughout each day and across the curriculum. The subjects that they engage in are:

• Primary Language Curriculum (English agus Gaeilge)
• Mathematics
• Social, Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE) (history, geography and science)
• The Arts (visual arts, drama and music)
• Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE)
• Physical Education (PE)
• Patron's Programme

The junior infant school day is from 9.20am until 2.00pm.
