We were lucky at our June assembly to say goodbye to Noel Hussey, who has driven Derek Bowhan’s bus coach on a school route to Slane National School since 2013. We were also fortunate to have his wife, Olive, present at the event. The pupils who travel on his bus say that he is always very kind but he does sometimes have to tell them to sit in their seats! St. Patrick’s National School hosted an open day for parents and the wider community in June to demonstrate the outdoor learning space in the school and how it is being used by pupils. There was a great turn out by parents, who finally got to see why their children were wearing wellies and outdoor clothing all year! Many thanks to all the attendees and top the Parent’s Association, who funded many of the resources in the space.
