5th class pupils have been learning about bridge building this term in class. A bridge is a structure that is build to span physical obstacles like rivers, valleys, railways or roads. They are very important for travel and transport.
Key types of bridges include beam, arch, truss, cantilever, suspension, and cable-stayed, while common materials include wood, stone, iron, steel, and concrete.
As part of learning about bridges, pupils were given the task of constructing their own bridge using a range of materials. They did a brilliant job!
