We were very fortunate to receive a visit from Jenny, the Garda Sergeant in Slane, this morning on our second Bus, Bike or Walk on Wednesday (BOWOW) day.

The Gardaí are providing a presence in the village over the next few Wednesday mornings while BOWOW is taking place to help drivers realise that children are walking, cycling or scooting to school in large numbers.

We have had a great response to our first two weeks. Many thanks to all parents, who have assisted in walking or cycling to school with children, especially those organised from the Parents' Association, who are at agreed places to walk with groups of children.

Hopefully the good weather will continue for the next four Wednesdays.
