Green Day Woodland Walk

Junior infants, senior infants and first classes all headed to the new woodland for a walk as part of Green Day this week.

It was a wet day but luckily they all had their weather proof gear on for outdoor play.

Each class started at the top of our new woodland and travelled along. There were many stops along the way to see how trees communicate with each other, different types of leaves that trees have, tasting elderflower cordial, and identifying places in the woodland for other living things to live, including in our dead hedge.

At the end, the pupils got a small treat for remembering the important facts about their trip!
