Our 4th, 5th and 6th class pupils had workshops with LEAF staff this week to end our woodland project for this year.

The pupils identified a range of native tree species in the woodland and learned some cool facts about them.

They also trampled down the grass around the trees so that they will have the best possible chance to grow in their early years.

Many thanks to Meath Local Sports Partnership, Councillor Wayne Harding, who included us on the programme, and LEAF staff for the workshops.

We were also given signage for the trees which will help with tree identification for many years to come.
