Pupils from St. Patrick's National School took part in the Meath track and field athletics day in Claremont, Navan this week.

The day specifications are that each child can only participate in one event each, which meant a number of afternoons of trials for those interested in participating before the final run sheet was completed.

Events on the day included 80 and 100 metres sprints, 600 and 800 metres middle distance, ball throw, long jump and 100 metre relays for both boys and girls. The pupils gave their all throughout and had a great day out.
