St. Patrick's National School participated in the Meath athletics track and field event in Claremont, Navan this week.
Pupils had a round of trials for a range of track distances from 80 metres to 800 metres and field events, including the ball throw and long jump in the school a number of weeks ago. After this, those who had qualified had some training at lunch breaks with Mr. Ó Braonáin and Ms. McCabe to prepare for the day.
All the participants had a great day out. Unlike last year, it was warm and sunny throughout. Congratulations to all the athletes and many thanks to their teachers for preparing them and co-ordinating the programme.
