Navan Area League Gaelic Football Final Day

Our girls' and boys' 5th, 4th and 3rd class teams took part in the Navan Area League over the last number of weeks and played on the final day in Simonstown GAA this week.

The league had been set up to give more gaelic football games for schools in the spring time and not just in autumn. Rules include one solo and one bounce, as well as multiple substitutions during each game. Both teams travelled together for each game during the league section. The teams had played four games before the final and were paired with St. Joseph's Mercy, Navan on finals day.

Both games were very competitive, with great skills on display from all pupils. After both matches, pupils received a treat bag.

Many thanks to all the staff who volunteered their time to support the initiative this year.
