We had a very busy October assembly in the school hall this week, hosted by Ms. Delaney and 3rd class.

We began by singing Ámhrán na bhFiann.

Mr. O'Donnell then spoke about our new Code of Behaviour and the five new rules

1. Have respect for yourself, other pupils and their property.

2. Respect and follow school staff instructions

3. Know how and when to move

4. Know how and when to talk

5. Enjoy playtime; consider other people and the environment

He also spoke about our new curriculum subject Social and Environmental Education, as well as the Safe Routes To School initiative we are taking part in this year.

Two 6th class pupils then spoke about bringing back Star Class, a scheme to have straight lines after breaks and in the mornings. A vote was taken by pupils and it passed with a big majority. It will be trialled in November.

We then had news from all classes, as well as a presentation on China from two pupils. It was very well delivered. Thanks to Tara for helping them research and present their project.
