The 10th anniversary of the St. Patrick's N.S. Parents' Association 5K trail run/walk in the beautiful grounds of Slane Castle was a tremendous success last weekend.

Hundreds of participants took part, including many current and former pupils, in glorious sunshine , with a 9.30am start. The event was excellently organised with volunteers coordinating parking, registration, t-shirt hand out, marshalling along the route, medal presentations at the finish, as well as the life saving refreshments at the Castle afterwards.

A huge work of thanks to the Parents' Association organisers, volunteers, sponsors, the Mountcharles family for the use of the grounds and all the participants, who made it such a great morning out.

The final total raised was €10,000, which was a fantastic achievement. The money will go towards improving outdoor play facilities in our school. You can find some photographs below and a full gallery of images is available on the Slane NS Parents' Association Facebook page.
