Our school has been receiving support before introducing new curriculum subjects for the next six or seven years.
Part of the inservice days has been to reflect on what we do well, what we hope to improve at and to think about our hopes for children in our school.
One of the activities has been to think of the context (the things that we offer children in our school now) as well as the aspirations (competencies, behaviours and dispositions we hope they will attain before leaving St. Patrick's National School
When the staff completed the activity, we collated all the responses on one page. We then did the same with 36 pupils from 3rd to 6th class and then with a group of parents at a Parent's Association meeting.
Have a look below at how each group viewed the two areas.
