We had a great sports day 2026 this week in school, as part of the wellbeing and active week. The weather for the day turned out to be perfect, with overcast but warm conditions meaning that everybody stayed active throughout the day.

Mrs. Carey had a very well prepared day laid out, ably assisted by the wellbeing committee pupils, who communicated the events very well in advance.

On the day there were stations for parachute games, unihoc, handball, dodgeball, football, an assortment of races and trips up to the Hill of Slane, and all that before the ice-cream van arrived.

Of course, all of this was the prelude to the annual 6th class v staff soccer game. In a tightly contested match, the staff emerged the winners by the slimmest of margins, thanks to a great goal by Mrs. Kennedy. We don't take it serious, as you can tell by the photo below.
