Victorious Slane GFC Ladies Visit St. Patrick's N.S.

We were very fortunate to have a visit from the Slane GFC Ladies squad who won the County Junior Championship at the weekend against Walterstown GFC.

The match was a tense affair with Slane coming out victorious on a score line of 3.07 to 3.05. Most of the panel had attended St. Patrick's National School and it was a very proud day for our school to have them back for such a happy occasion.

Player of the match, Aisling Martyn, captain Bronagh Lane and player and mum of pupils in our school, Aoife Carolan spoke to the pupils about the build up to the game, overcoming challenges during the match and celebrating afterwards.

They kindly stayed for photographs and autographs with the pupils afterwards. Captain Bronagh Lane also announced that there was no homework that evening!

Many thanks to the squad and management for giving up their time today and congratulations to them all on their success!
