In the month of November we have been exploring the theme of electricity in Science. We worked in small groups to create a working light circuit. We used a bulb, two wires and a battery for this. We then added various objects to the circuit such as a paper clip, a crayon and a thumbtack. We found out that materials that electricity can flow through, e.g. a paperclip, are called conductors and those that electricity does not flow through, e.g….

We completed a daily maths brain teaser during maths week this year. We worked together in small groups to solve the problems. We also explored 2D shapes. We investigated what 2D shapes can tesselate.
Continue ReadingTriangles Hunt and Constructions
We learned about the various types of triangles in maths; equilateral, scalene and isosceles. We then went on a triangles hunt around the school and took photographs of triangles in our environment. We used the iPads to take the photos and added the corresponding triangle letter to the image using the mark up tool. Later that week, we constructed the various types of triangles using lollipop sticks.
