4th classes were making sustainable Christmas decorations this year from natural materials. They used cut willow branches as discs to paint on and attached pebbles on the front of each. Finally, brown garden twine was used to hang the decorations up. They were very creative!

It has been a busy term for the school egg company Gugalaí Gug, which is run by 5th class pupils. Business has still gone from strength to strength, with parents and pupils in Ms. Delaney’s and Ms. Collins’ classes buying free range eggs. The next class to be able to buy eggs is Ms. Murphy’s senior infants. However, in bad news, one hen passed away during the term. It had blood coming from its back passage and was very unwell….

We have a busy few weeks ahead on the construction front in the school. In the last few years more teaching and learning has been happening outdoors on school grounds in St. Patrick’s N.S. As a result, an outdoor classroom and a polytunnel are being built at the rear of the school.
